Hi Andrew,

I think I have confused "SmartScreen Filter" with "InPrivate
Filtering" (which is on by default), so you're right about it not
being on by default.  It is a lot easier to turn on than described on
that page though, there's a status bar icon which does so in a single
click.  It also seems to persist across browser restarts, which seems
to be contrary to the documentation saying it is enabled on a "per-
session basis".

I'm not sure that a complicated workaround is necessary, a DNS CNAME
alias should be sufficient if the maps API were to support it.
