The problem is that the cost to generate anything to do with zip codes
is very high, so giving it away is impossible. My free maps are as
close as you're going to get and they aren't really free, they are
advertising supported, so while it's free for the user it's anything
but that for the advertisers.

You could use the data provided for free from the Census Bureau, it's
from 2002 but if you want free, that's what you get. The census data
is called "ZCTA" and is optimized for their use, not accuracy.
