Hi,

I use ArcGIS to produce content all the time for my NGO, and up until
now, it has worked within google maps just fine. I made a kml from a
simple database of coal fired power plants and used the 'layer to kml'
tool to convert the shapefile to kml. However, when I try to use the
kml within maps it doesn't show up. I tried the same kml in google
earth and it works fine, symbology and all.

Does anyone know if there's been a change with kml/gmaps that would be
behind this issue?

I've tried asking ESRI about it, but they believe it to be an issue
with google wanting us to use their symbology...in other words, we
can't simply use the png's ArcGIS outputs when creating the kml.
They've tested it out on their own software and get the same
results...

Here's the simple map page with kml added via the API:

Thanks!

Peter
