Hi, I've had a decently successful time using the Google Maps API to create a store locator along with client geolocation.
The site is at http://www.youthministrynow.com/map/map.html We've gotten lots of emails about people not being able to use the map because of a Grey Box issue with Google Maps. I've personally never had a problem with it until today, when I went on a wireless network that I had not previously tested the site with. The map turned up with the grey box. >From what I can tell from other user posts, the grey box problem seems to have something to do with API version numbering. Since I haven't experienced problems until today, my guess is it also has to do with client ip location services.
