I don't know, I don't want to know - it's you that wants to know so
you'd be better placed to find out than me.

Then create a webpage using server-side technologies, and accept that
you won't be able to run javascript in it. As your specification now
seems to include 'must have driving directions' you might have to pay
to get some of your desired features. Not everything is free.

I have no idea about the technology, why don't you look it up for
yourself -
   http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=server+side+javascript&meta=&aq=f&oq=

BUT - The Google Maps javascript API terms are very clear about
running it in a browser. So you wouldn't be allowed to run it in a
server-side application. It'd be pretty meaningless anyway as the API
is all about presenting maps on-screen. Remember, you're just trying
to hijack some of the subsidiary functions that you think would be
useful to you, and not using the API as it is intended.

Do you have any shred of evidence to suggest they are using
GDirections? It's not the only directions service in the world. They
may have written their own or bought one in.

No thanks, I shan't be putting add-ons onto my browser in order to
look at some example.

If it uses ASP whyever would it also use server-side javascript .... I
can't think of any reason why anyone would do that at all. So ...
'no' , I don't think it uses server-side javascript.
