Charl Mapperz uses both - both are very good for specific tasks... you can even 'mash' them up together http://mapperz.blogspot.com/2008/07/gis-geoprocessing-google-maps-api.html
try it http://mapperz.brinkster.net/Drive_Time/population.html toggle both on (hand draw a polygon and census blocks) >gmap api sends (polygon coords) as a request to arcserver (geoprocessing >model) intersects the polygon with US Census data. <arcserver sends the points with data to gmaps and attributes markers >Census block uses ajax to generate google chart (3d pie charts) magic - edit the polygon - real-time updates... (nothing to do with drive time in this case) Mapperz http://mapperz.blogspot.com/ (google page rank 6 today) On Apr 17, 3:39 pm, Charl <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > > I am doing a project on GIS (Geographical Information System).I am > new > to google map API . > > I want to know comparative advantages with other systems as ArcGis > Server for Intranet and security administration. > > Thanks in advance, --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
