Hello We are a UK based company, looking for a developer to help us with our Google map project. A one off project to start with, but with the possibility of more work later on.
In short what is required is a map with markers on it, but showing different levels of detail depending on the zoom level. - The user starts off with a map zoomed out to show the whole world. The continents will be labeled, with the number of markers in that continent shown underneath. - When a continent is clicked, it will zoom in to show that continent, with each country labeled, with the number of markers in that country. - When the country is clicked, it will zoom in on the country, and either show the markers in that country, or if there are too many markers, it will show the regions, again with the number of markers in that region. This could be database driven, however I prefer to generate static javascript includes from our database which will contain the details of each marker. So there would be no need to link this to a database. I have the lat/long of all of the continents and countries. If you are interested, please email me with a quote, timescale and any questions.
