Thanks again for your reply. But like I said, unfortunately I can't
deliver a link, because the site is currently on a test server which
is not reachable from outside.
But do you or someone else see something in the code I have posted,
which could lead to that problem.
Info: the code
var groundOverlay = new GGroundOverlay("images/rlg.png", new
GLatLngBounds(pointSW, pointNE));
was wrapped by the input box. This code is in he source in one line
