Hi developers- I've noticed that top responders here often respond very quickly to new posts - sometimes within a matter of minutes. I'd suggest actually that everyone wait a few hours before responding to posts, for the following reasons:
- It makes sure that the poster doesn't think of the forum as a chat room where they'll get immediate response for any old question - responding too quickly can lead to posters abusing the "privilege". - It gives other developers the chance to respond to the questions. As you all well know, your activity here helps form your reputation as a developer. We'd like everyone to have the chance to build up their reputation. I know it's rather enticing to immediately respond to a question that you know the answer to, but I think that waiting generally results in a more healthy community. These are guidelines I'm trying to follow myself for the Flash API forum. The exception to this would be posts from folks who've done sensor=true_or_false incorrectly - it can be very frustrating to be blocked by an API key issue. This is just my opinion, of course; this is an open forum and you're welcome to disagree or ignore. Thanks for your time. - pamela --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
