Thanks, I can't understand the google tutorials or any other tutorial
using complex javascript to demonstrate google API code because I
don't know javascript that well. If you could show me how to make a
text overlay bubble appear over a(my) custom icon/marker, my problems
would be solved.

All I want is a simple example of a custom marker/icon with a overlay/
bubble that appears when you click on the marker.
