Zooming does cause a 'moveend' event to fire since it changes the
viewable map.

This can be confirmed in the documentation at:

http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/reference.html#GMap2.moveend

Which means that 'moveend' essentially is a catch all event that
triggers on nearly ever event that exists. HENCE, my question about
whether or not there exists a method to inform you what exact event
was just fired.
