1. Indeed, without using a raster this wont be possible. Well, its possible,
but very very slow ;)
2. That you would need to build yourself. Google Maps routing is done
internally.
3. Perhaps you premier api will help, im not sure, but the fact you can use
it in a non-public enviroment does look like it.
