Actually, he isn't the only one. I cannot pinpoint when our map implementation went kaput with IE6, but it was between May 1st and May 18th. I noticed two API updates between this time, and I am sure that one of them caused our maps to start erroring in IE6. It isn't just me and the OP either, I know of other developers who's maps have stopped working properly in IE around the same time as we are reporting.
I don't have an answer, but I am give you a suggestion. Both myself and another developer decided to switch over to Microsoft's Virtual Earth. Not only does it appear to be reliable, but it is EXTREMELY well documented, the examples they give you are extensive and work with simple copy and paste. And you will never have to google anything to learn how to do something, as the documentation is so vast and easy to follow it will amaze you. Let me say, the map implementation that took me about a weeks worth of work with Google Maps took me exactly 3 hours on Virtual Earth. I was skeptical when I first started, but with Google's constant breaking in old IE versions, I don't think I will look back.
