Sorry about that. A friend did get me a solution! First though, I did
go into the database admin and "dropped" anything google from the
database, but I think the following would work anyway.

I will be doing this, but after looking for the plugins on the web
that I had already deleted from my blog and the system, I found
another plugin: geo mashup, that didn't say Google in the dashboard
plugin page description, but was said it was google on the author's
plugin page. When I de-activated that, the error message went away!

I hope this helps someone else. It fixed the two blogs I was having
issues with.
