If you're configured with ad blocker on FF, the ads won't appear. Obviously, you'll need JavaScript enabled too.
One note about revenue. I hear from a very good source that if you have a lot of ad impressions with very few click throughs, you would have be penalized by the Google engine for "poor performance." It was suggested to me to remove the lesser performing ad formats from my sites to get this penalty lifted, which I did and I'm seeing higher per click revenue because of it. The time frame between changing your ad models and increased revenue is unknown, it may be number of clicks or some other metric.
