We're working an iPhone App and were wondering if it's ok for us to
use geocoding with the iphone 3.0 mapkit. The geocoding that we have
to use is for a user to input an address and have that processed as a
lat lon (not reverse geocoding where user puts in a lat, lon and an
address gets outputted).

Can someone from google reply with a definite yes or no?

-Charles

P.S. Our gut feeling is yes after reading the terms of service below
but we just want to make sure because mapkit is a new feature in the
iphone SDK.

10.12 use or display the Content without a corresponding Google
map, unless you are explicitly permitted to do so in the Maps API
Documentation <http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/> , the
Street View API Documentation <http://code.google.com/apis/maps/
documentation/services.html#Streetview> , or through written
permission from Google (for example, you must not use geocodes
obtained through the Service except in conjunction with a Google map,
but the Street View API Documentation <http://code.google.com/apis/
maps/documentation/services.html#Streetview> explicitly permits you
to display Street View imagery without a corresponding Google map); or
