"Route map" is GDirections. Mike has a tutorial, but you'll need to read the documentation. It's probably a good idea to get a map up and working before you dive into asynchronous processing. Read this page first: http://www.econym.org.uk/gmap/ together with the first few parts of "The Basics" before you go on to part 26 of "More advanced stuff" http://www.econym.org.uk/gmap/directions.htm UK postcodes have the minor problem of being horribly inaccurate, especially in rural areas. The API doesn't take any account of the last two letters, so CM7 8BB is placed at the same location as CM7 8WY. In built-up areas this may not make *too* much difference, especially if you're going from CM7 8 to CA7 8; but it's not good for local distances or rural areas.
