I'm lost. I think that I need to remove the '<form action="http://
maps.google.com/maps" method="get" target="_blank">' and instead use
GDirections to to route the directions results to the new <div>. Is
this right?
And how do I accomplish this when I have two maps side by side and
want the directions to appear underneath their respective maps? What
I've been trying to do is use a 2x2 cell table where the top two cells
are my maps and the lower two are my directions, but judging from the
need for my overflow to be set at auto, it seems a table isn't the way
to go. Any other suggestions on that?

I think if I can figure out how to format the code I'll be alright, I
can move it around as neccesary from there. Getting to that point
though is what's kicking my butt.
Thanks to all of you for your help, it's greatly appreciated.
