Hey everyone, I found the code given for the basic geocoder function with the map on the page, but I am having a hard time figuring out how to geocode in the way needed for my app.
I'm really new at this, so I apologize if this is a no-brainer: For my purposes, I would like the user to fill out a form with a couple address fields. Then, when they hit submit, I'd like to change that address to a latitude and longitude to be stored in a mySQL database. On the form page, there will be no map visible. Every geocoding example I've seen displays the map on the page. Do I just put the map into a <div> and have it "hidden"? Is there a faster way to do it?
