Thanks Martin and ProbablyMike.  I'll try the ELabel method and see
how far I get.
I want to do something like a tabbed infowindow but I rather dislike
the blobby curves.

I may see if I can get creative with a set of ELabels to make
something sort of like a tabbed window.

incidentally, Martin - I don't know if you did the Bellamallorca site
vut whoever did it - excellent job.  Visually and operationally it's
one of my favorites.  A great example of how the GMap environment can
produce some stunning graphics.
