I read sections 9.1 in the terms and conditions.  You are right in that it
does not state how GoogleMaps can be used for educational purposes.  (a)
states that the application must not be fee-based, which we do comply with,
but (b) states that the application must not be accessible on only an
internal network.  Our project is never going to be hosted on any network
(except during development, which is fine according to the terms).  Once we
finish the project, it gets handed in to lecturers at our university, we
present it to them, and are accessed accordingly.  After this, the project
will cease to exist.  From my perspective, we seem to comply with both (a)
and (b).

Please inform me if I am wrong or if I have misunderstood!
