For those who are intersted, I created a test iPhone app with just a
UIWevView and tried to load a local HTML file which had use of v2 of
the Google Map API in it and even in the iPhone simulator it did not
work. So I got "This website needs a different Google Maps API key.
A new can can be generated at ...". Presumably this is why v3 of the
API no longer has keys, because it doesn't really make sense in the
iPhone context. It will be good when v3 of the API has directions in
it, but it will be even better when the MapKit framework has this.
Some day, no doubt.
