This problem appears in many spots, and eventually it gets corrected.

See this example:
http://maps.forum.nu/temp/gm_cairo_shift.html

Some months ago, it was shifted, and therefore the map loads with a
default shift to compensate.
If you click 'Reset' it now falls into place because Google have
corrected it.

You could do the same for areas that you know to be wrong in your map.
If you pan the above map to your location you can see it in action.
