I am having a similar problem, so I will watch this thread closely. I live in Wisconsin, so a little north of Chicago. The KML is periodically not showing up on the map (which loads right). At the same time my Google Maps files show up with no problem. The date October 21 sounds about right to me too, as this has been disruptive to my work over the past week. I also use several different computers and operating systems.
