I just looked at those pages in FireFox 3.0.15 on Ubuntu Linux 9.04
and they both worked identically the first time I clicked. _However_,
when I click on the v2 map, then close the infoWindow, then click
again, I get a new infoWindow. If I do the same on the v2.x map, the
second attempt does not open an infoWindow. I do get the crosshairs on
both, just not the infoWindow in v2.x. I actually don't have to close
the infoWindow, just a second click anywhere does the trick. I don't
get any additional errors in the error console on the v2.x site; they
both throw an error from the Google API ("a is undefined") when the
infoWindow is closed. If I reload the page under 2.x, I can again open
an infoWindow with a click, once.

Certainly an issue with 2.x which should be fixed.
