If you look at these with IE8 and you manage to stay awake until the lines are drawn you'll see just how poor the polyline rendering is. Have I done all the right things to allow VML to work? There's really two issues here - one is why are the polylines a bit sluggish with Firefox / Chrome using 2. and the second is how in the world to I get these lines displayed faster on IE7/8? If you look at the same pages with Chrome (best) or Firefox (next best) the speed difference between them and IE is pretty impressive. Even though it's just demo code I hacked together, if you see anything in the code that would be slowing things down please let me know. > any information.
