Hi, I've created a map with a search function here:

 http://www.charitywater.org/projects/map_googlemaps.php

The objective is to allow users to be able to look up a placemark by
entering GPS coordinates in the search bar above, which should bring
up a balloon that has been plotted at that GPS location.

However, when i enter a GPS coordinate in the search bar, the map
takes me a few miles away from the place where the project is supposed
to be.

I tested the coordinates in Google Earth, thinking maybe I have bad
data, but they work perfectly in Google Earth, and take me to the
right place every time.

Can you please help me figure out why the coordinates are offset so
severely in Maps?

How can i fix this so my users can punch in a GPS coordinate and
actually wind up in the right place?

thank you very much!
