Andrew, a test swatch (like upholsterers do before dyeing fabric!) of the first, simpler solution works perfectly, and, I checked, doesn't wipe out the maps on my other pages with the other key. The second solution does look elegant, assuming it works: I'll hold it in reserve. Thanks: 5 stars.
