It is a change of behaviour.

It makes geocoder.getLatLng() virtually useless for many purposes. You now do have to check the Accuracy returned by .getLocations()

If you know that you're looking for a street address, check that the Accuracy you get back is 6 or greater.

If you know that you're looking for a zip code or postcode, check that the accuracy is 5 or better.
