I have a map with a marker on it. The marker's infowindow contains some html. The html includes a few links and a javascript function that is supposed to make the links open in a popup window. In Firefox, the links in the infowindow open in new window as desired. But in IE8 and Safari, then open the the same window, wiping out the map and info box.
A test page showing this behavior is located at http://www.cnf.gob.mx/infys/infystest.php The javascript lives in http://www.cnf.gob.mx/infys/javascript/infystest.js There is also a standalone copy of the html from the info window. It is located in: http://www.cnf.gob.mx/infys/popuptest.html The standalone version of the html and javascript works as desired on all browsers. But when it is inside a marker infowindow, it fails on IE8 and Safari. Which is why I came here with the problem. [Note: The page also generates an Error in IE8 (Object Expected) , but that is not the problem I am trying to solve with this posting.] Anyone have any ideas on why the infowindow html correctly opens links in a new window under some browsers but not under IE8.
