Hi, I've seen a couple of other posts similar to this, but they don't seem to answer the question, nor offer a clear solution.
I can get a KML files <Placemark> <name> to show in Google Earth, but alas, displaying the same KML file to a Google Map does not show the place mark name. Note that I'm just attempting to leverage the Google Maps Code Demo at: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ggeoxml/ggeoxml_loader2.html The above Gmap demo shows blue icons for the "Japan Pics"...but no labels on the placemark icons (which is bad thing, as I would like to display the placemark name). - If view the source of the above GMap demo, you can fish around and find the URL for the "Japan Pics" KML file: http://kml.lover.googlepages.com/my-vacation-photos.kml - And if then view the above KML file in Google Earth, the placemark names are displayed...which is good/what I would like. Soooo, the question, how do you make the KML files placemark names show up when displaying the KML to a Gmap page? thanks much in advance 4est -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
