I don't know about your specific case, but you might want to do a
google search for "online book catalog"

I've used Librarything and Shelfari in the past. If you have a lot of
books, investing in a cheap bar code reader makes it a snap to add all
your books in to either of those.

Others worth checking are biliophil and bookcrossing.

You have a neat idea there.  While the some of the sites I mentioned
above show a 'virtual bookcase', none of them show my actual one
(built by a local Mennonite cabinetmaker. 15' wide x 10' high in dark
cherry)  I'd love to see yours, but your page is down.
