Thanks for the link.  I like books, especially old ones :)

You are right: it would be a great project for someone.  Its one of
those "if I only had some time, I'd do it" projects.  Unfortunately,
gotta pay the bills.So now the question is: can we find a business
case and someone with money to pay us to do it? :)

In a more  generic sense, the idea of uploading high-res photos of any
type and allowing users to easily tag specific parts could be an
appealing project with many different potential uses.  I wonder if
anyone has done something similar?
