I have received numerous problem reports for my website www.vpike.com
relating to street view displaying a black screen. In most cases they
mention that it used to work but now it doesn't.

After researching the problem here, people report that they re-
installed flash, or they deleted this file or that file and the
problem went away.

I went up to our city library to check if they were experiencing a
problem with their computers (they use older browser software) and
sure enough it didn't work there. I tried maps.google.com and even
that site did not work for street views on the library computers.

My gut feeling is the problem centers around Flash. From listening to
Apple's CEO he is not at all fond of Flash. Says it is buggy and many
of the problems they see have their origin in Flash.

Does anyone have a definitive answer about what is causing the
problems? Unfortunately for web site visitors if the site doesn't
work while they aren't coming back.

P.S. Please, please Google make a Non-Flash version of street views.
