If you are experiencing 620s because you are sharing an IP that must
mean that you are geocoding server side. If you were geocoding client
side in your application your geocoding requests would be distributed
across the IP addresses of your users, thus avoiding the 620s.
Similarly you can not be using a Maps API Premier client id, or your
requests would be quotad against that id rather than your IP thus
avoiding any issues relating to using a shared host. Plus you would
also have a much higher quota, access to technical support, and the
option to purchase more geocoding quota if needed.

Consequently I am guessing that you are using server side geocoding
without a Premier client id. Given that Salesforce.com applications
are not freely accessible to all, any application using the Maps API
from within one must have a Maps API Premier license in order to
comply with the Terms of Service. If you do have a Premier license
then check the Premier Developer Guide for documentation on how to
geocode using your client id. If you still experience 620s, you may be
geocoding at too high a rate per second, or you may just need to
contact your account manager to purchase more quota.

If however you do not have a Premier license then you need to either
purchase one or look for alternative solutions to the Maps API, as you
are probably not in compliance with the Terms of Service.

Many thanks,

Thor.
