I don't know why someone would tell you to post in this group because
1. This group is for developers working with the Google Maps
Javascript API, and not a group for general maps questions:

2. As per the Terms of Service, the services associated with the API,
(such as driving directions), may only be used in conjunction with a
publicly accessible API map, and the results may not be saved for
using in an external application.

You might need to look for data providers that you can buy what you
want from.
