The problem is that the geocoder hasn't actually been given an address
to search for, it's been given an address fragment, even a partial
postcode. Ambiguous question, ambiguous answer. In the absence of
crucial information it has to make some guesses. Those guesses may
not be the same guesses that would be made by a human who understands
UK addressing format.

UK postcode searching in the geocoder operates under its own special
handicap, search the group for that. Providing a town name generally
overcomes that.

The result 'accuracy' is about the expected accuracy of the lat/long
result as it relates to the appropriate result address ; it has
nothing to do with how close a text match it is, don't be misled.
