You link has
location.imageMap=[60,60, 60,60, 60,60, 60,60];
which defines a single pixel to click.

I can only refer you again to Mike's tutorial on custom markers. You
need a *complete* marker, including .transparent and a correct
imageMap, if it is to work in all browsers. If optional properties are
missing, the code won't fall over, but it won't work as you expect. In
particular, the transparent image is needed by IE.

There's even a link there to a custom marker maker which will take
your flower-icon and produce everything you need to get it to work
correctly.
