I'm utilizing google maps to build an interactive, multimedia map for a book, and I'm hoping a motivated volunteer might be able to help me out.
The map is of the U.S.-Mexico border, Mexico and Guatemala, and I have it divided up into seven regions (north of the border, southeast of Phoenix, Northern Mexico, etc.). Within each of those regions, I also have six individual layers of media (my writings, other people's writings, photo, video, other people's video, and some additional photos). That puts the map at 42 layers that, when viewed together, is somewhat overwhelming. Up to this point, I've created a beta map with all the layers and used the embed gadget to put it up on my blog--www.border101.blogspot.com, for your reference. To shine the map up, I would like to add three buttons: *one button at the bottom of the map that allows you to view it full screen. *and another two buttons at the top of the map. The first would say "view by region", and you could click the regions on and off. The map would initially appear with all seven regions. *The second button would say "view by media" and have clickable options for the different types of media. Thus you would be able to match the media with the regions and vice-versa. This doesn't sound too complicated. I just don't have the programming background to do it. Is anybody willing to help me out? Thanks. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
