First research point was the static map api page with the new line: "The Google Static Maps API no longer requires a Maps API key!". http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/staticmaps/ Without the api key it should work - Ok. I removed the key and got the error: "You need an api key to use static map api". Ok, changed back and generated a new api key (it was the same because the domain is the same). Here the test page: http://ip-geo.appspot.com/ The map is a white block, right klick and open it in a new tab -> The map not included in my page works.
