No, it's not complex, but some of us have a day job. Others are in a
completely different timezone.

The names you refer to are part of a layer which is not available to the API.

It *may* be possible for those who can implement the Google Places API
to get at them, but access to that API is still restricted, I believe.

Some inactive/static names do appear on the API tiles, but they may
not be the same as those appearing in Google Maps.

The API does not make every feature of Google Maps available.
