No... that's not it as far as I can tell. I reduced the map's width to 500px from 640px that it was before and it's still doing the same thing. But again, it's ONLY if it's in IE8 Standards mode. If it's in Quirks or IE7 mode, it works just fine.. So this is certainly something that is an IE8 problem, but doesn't seem to be related to the auto-scale features of Internet Explorer when printing.
