IE6 is still officially supported by Version 2 (but not Version 3):

If you have found a serious bug -- that is, not simply cosmetic --
then the issues list is the way to get it seen to:
http://code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-issues/issues/list Faults are still
being fixed, but it's likely that cosmetic issues will not be
corrected.
