And to head off another query... Do you get an error, G_HYBRID_TYPE is not defined? That hasn't been available for a *very* long time. Which documentation are you following? http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/v2/reference.html#GMapType.G_HYBRID_MAP I think I would suggest, at this stage of the Maps API, starting with Version 3. At least your examples are more likely not to be out of date.
