there's a rule in the images.css which applies a background color to
images and this is causing the transparent background on the roadmap
tiles to appear as white, so try commenting out this line in the css:
.entry-content img { margin: 5px; padding: 5px; background: #FAFAFA;
border: 1px solid #E4E4E4; }
