Rossko - Okay thanks for the advice. I'll try searching in more general terms and the server side map is an idea. But, the reason I was asking in this area is that these are projected overlays of different fields covering the entire US in PNG format. So, for example, my one overlay is a continuous temperature field. And I was wondering if given the overlay image whether there's some sort of way of accessing its properties when the mouse travels across it, much like getting and displaying the latitude/longitude values which I've been able to do.
