Hello, I would like to include an Add Placemark tool which works in the same way as the tool in the My Maps area of Google Maps.
I have already been playing around with a draggable marker tool I found in the utility libraries, but its not as slick as the one on offer under My Maps. I just want the user to be able to single click a Placemark icon, so that when they move the mouse around the map (not click and dragging the marker) the icon follows the mouse pointer and then they click again to release the icon on the map. After this the icon should return back to it's original position. Has anyone had a go at replicating the My Maps behaviour and if so would you mind sharing your code please?
