I've been using a map that uses the CASA Gmap image cutter custom projection (http://www.casa.ucl.ac.uk/software/googlemapimagecutter.asp) to display markers on a custom image map. I don't really need to use a custom projection and doing so is causing me several other problems so I'd like to just use the standard google mercator projection for my marker locations. However, as all my point co-ordinates were also initally plotted from pixel co-ordinates using the CASA custom projection the latlang co-ordinates will need to be replotted to use google mercator values. I can calculate the xy pixel co-ordinates of my points but I'm a bit stuck as to how I can recalculate google latlng co-ordinates from the pixel co-ordinates. For example: I have the latlng co-ordinates -31.871337890625, -98.0859375, using CASA projection these translate to pixel co-ordinates 58.25, 173.328125 - How do I now translate these co-ordinates to latlng values using the standard google mercator projection? Any help greatly appreciated.
