I have a general inquiry concerning the use of this API. In the Terms of Service, it states that a Google Map must be displayed when you are using the API. How stringent is Google on this policy?
I am developing an application that will use the Directions API to determine the distance between 2 entered locations. As it is, there really is no logical or aesthetic place for a Google Map on the page that the information is entered. When the user enters 2 locations that produce a valid route, they will be redirected to another page that could have a map on it. Here are my questions: Is this acceptable as per the ToS? How does Google 'flag' users that are in violation of this term? Is it acceptable to display the Google Logo and copyright information in lieu of a Google Map? Thank you for any help concerning this issue. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps JavaScript API v3" group.
