Hello, I'm coming at this from a GIS mapping background and I'm looking at using a googlemaps output to a) display the results of my MSc dissertation study, which having been reading the tutorials in Googlecode strikes me as being tricky, but not impossible (I've not coded anything for about 10 years, and then it was pretty basic, rough and ready HTML!!)
And b) as a possibly means of data gathering for my thesis... Ideally, I want users, that is participants, to interact with the map, creating marker points for areas that they are particularly attached to and assigning this market points with a value (or even better a short text explaining why it's valued). The data gathered would be things like a numerical score out of 100, no identifiable data would be taken, neither would the participants actual location. Is this possible? Could anyone point me in the right direction to some tutorials or further assistance? I figure this must be theoretically possible, it's just if it's technically possible and achieveable within the scope of my thesis time span (til Dec 11) Thank you!! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps JavaScript API v3" group.
